The Fall is a BBC crime drama television series set in Northern Ireland and created, written and, in its second series, directed by Allan Cubitt. The Fall is produced by Artists Studio and premiered in Ireland on RTÉ One and in the UK on BBC Two.
Synopsys
Metropolitan Police Superintendent Stella Gibson, a Senior Investigating Officer tasked with the reviewing of investigations, is seconded to the Police Service of Northern Ireland in order to assess the progress of a murder investigation that has remained active for longer than 28 days. When it becomes apparent a serial killer is on the loose, local detectives must work with Stella to find and capture Paul Spector, who is attacking young, professional women in the city of Belfast.

The first season is dedicated to the arrival of Stella Gibson in Belfast and the fulfillment of the first killings by the Architects'murderess (Paul Spector). The subplot of this season is drug abuse and corruption of some of the police department.

Season Two
The second season is dedicated to the hunt of a serial killer who is soon identified as Paul Spector from Stella Gibson and the two begin a real hunting of cat and mouse. New police officers are introduced to support Gibson, as Detective Tom Anderson. The subplot of this season is that of domestic violence by James to his wife.
