Sally Ann is a quite caring mother and nurse.
Physical Appearance[]
Sally Ann is in her early 30s with a tall, average physique. She has shoulder length, dirty blonde, curly hair. She wears little to no makeup, dresses modestly, somewhat plain-looking. She often wears scrubs as part of her job as a neonatal nurse. At home, she wears comfy cardigan sweaters, flowing blouses, “mom” clothes. She will dress up occasionally such as for dinner on date night with her husband, Paul. Her lack of outward sex appeal may play a minor part, through no fault of her own, in Paul’s desire to look outside the home and marriage for sexual gratification, albeit in a morbid and perverse manner.

Season One[]
After Paul convinces her to lie to the police, Sally Ann quickly comes to suspect all is not as it seems. In an attempt to divert suspicions, Paul lies about having an affair with their 15 year-old babysitter, Katie.
Distraught, Sally Ann admits to her husband that she is pregnant with their third child. While she does not want to remain married to him, she knows that raising their children as a single mother would be tremendously difficult. Ultimately she decides to not pursue divorce, settling in separation instead.
Season Two[]
Paul and Sally Ann’s relationship becomes increasingly strained. Sally Ann and Katie see each other at a local coffee shop, and Katie reveals that Paul assaulted her. She insists that there was no affair. Sally Ann believes that Paul raped Katie. Unsure about having another child with Paul, Sally Ann contemplates abortion.
When she is arrested for lying to police about her husband’s whereabouts, Sally Ann learns that Paul has been charged with the murder and kidnapping. Her emotional distress causes her to miscarry.
